Barcode Generator from Insight Works makes it possible to add linear (Code39) or 2D (Data Matrix) barcodes to reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Now you can modify existing reports such as invoices, order confirmations, and production orders to include barcodes, or you can create your own new reports with barcodes.

Barcode formats include Datamatrix, QR Code, Code 128 and Code 39. Integrating with existing hardware and third-party applications is seamless.

To add barcodes to your own reports, you will need to use the Dynamics 365 Business Central development tools to create a Dynamics 365 Business Central Extension.

Download the Sample Barcode Reports file that contains the source code and layouts for the sample reports provided with Barcode Generator.

Many of the samples are based on standard Business Central reports taken from Business Central 17.1. All compiler warnings and hints from the base reports are still present.
The sample reports have been renumbered into the 72800 object range with a new object prefix of SMPL. This allows you to copy the reports as-is into your project to deploy them.
All file names retain the object number from the Barcode Generator app to make it easier to identify the specific report by the object number found in Business Central.
In order to build these reports, your extension project needs to include a dependency on the Barcode Generator app.
